The e-puffer tracks usage as well as beeps when it’s time to take medication. Compliance and reporting for communicating events with your doctor. Just brilliant! Watch the 7News video “New-age puffer changes asthma treatment” to see how the e-puffer works..
Logging the preventer medication data ensures the medication information gets back to your GP. Valuable when discussing events because you have the facts, helping you to work with your GP to achieve improved results.
I hope the e-puffer is available on the market for both preventer and reliever medication soon, and that there will also be a way that the data from school devices can be collected as well. This will then mean no more paper based log books (meaning no more printing of log books at Bello Alito!) I hope the e-puffer successfully gets to market quickly.
Good work to the researchers working every day to improve the lives of those managing asthma at the Woolcock Institute and Asthma Australia for advocacy and education. As always, I recommend registering for the free Asthma Assist program with Asthma Australia for education and support.
As soon as I hear that this product is on the market, I will update this post. Please feel free to message me or comment below if you find out before me!
