The new Asthma Action Plan template by Asthma Australia and the Foundations is clear and easy to understand. I like that it also includes faces, the standard green orange and red for each section, and images in the red emergency section, to start the first aid and to call an ambulance. In addition, they have included a field to write “My words that describe how I feel…” in each section, like in our Quick Guide – so we must be on track with that suggestion.
I encourage you to swap out the Bello Alito asthma plan for any asthma plan that best suits your needs, particularly the plans designed by Asthma Australia and the Foundations.
In conclusion, nothing has been missed on this design. If you love this one – take it with you when next visiting your doctor. If you don’t own one of our asthma bags, then once you have a completed asthma plan have it laminated so that the paper lasts until the next review date to discuss with your doctor how things are going with asthma management. Remember to keep a copy of the asthma plan with your asthma medication.
