Over the last few months, Pete Moore and myself have been working to adapt his award winning My Pain Toolkit into another version for teenagers and young people who live with asthma.
Called simply, My Asthma Toolkit, the toolkit is designed to be an easy to read, easy to understand format that helps people understand asthma care with the aim of improving asthma management skills and confidence. As quoted in the toolkit:
As well as essential medical treatment that focuses on the physical symptoms, My Asthma Toolkit helps focus on your thoughts, feelings and behaviours to give you more control.
We are inviting everyone with an interest in asthma management and health engagement to review the document and share with us any feedback you feel could further improve the toolkit.
If you would like to discuss any of the ideas or make some suggestions you can find me on Twitter at @belloalito and also @alitahowlett . Pete Moore can also be found on Twitter at @paintoolkit2 or contacted via his site Pain Toolkit.
Update: Released May 2015! My Asthma Toolkit is now available to purchase from The Pain Toolkit Store.
