Following the Health Care Social Medical (#hcsm) tweets on Twitter, I have noticed a trending concern amongst the medical field that the internet gives people information that they will use instead of consulting a doctor.
As a parent, I use the internet to find information from reputable organisations on the internet. I also talk to others and find support in the real world as well as forums. But I don’t believe it should ever replace professional advice, particularly in relation to my health or that of my family.
Do you agree? Have you ever not visited the doctor after finding answers via the internet?
