So easy to feel guilty for taking time away from home to go to the gym, talk to friends, have some “me” time.
But we are better for it if we do. We can give back so much more when we have the energy and the emotional support behind us to help others as well as ourselves.
I know the days I hit the gym, I’m happier and strangely I get more done in my day. Not that it is about being busy. But if I have the energy, I get more organised and ahead of things rather than stressed out and behind.
Do you feel guilty and just don’t try? Or do you get out there and make time for yourself? Feel free to comment below with any tips that could help others.
Update: If you need a helper you could try Michelle Bridge’s 12 Week program. I found it an easy way to organise the shopping for the week with the menu plans as well as structure and purpose to my gym program. The program worked well with my family life because it fitted into my schedule. (This is not a sponsored post, just sharing because I was asked via twitter where I found support. So I thought I’d share.)
